A prescription for user growth

In October of last year, Walgreens relaunched its loyalty program alongside an updated mobile app. The mobile app is also how the company handled scheduling flu shots amid a pandemic. This, combined with demand for vaccines, created more active users than the app had ever had before. Now Walgreens is on more consumer screens than ever before, but already with less vaccine demand in the US, we see active user numbers falling. Still, the pharmacy app could retain enough to have water find a new, higher level.

Can't believe I missed this one

We here at Apptopia, tracked just about every trend spurred by the pandemic that impacted mobile app performance. Turns out we missed one. Marijuana guide apps provide info for users trying to understand which strains are helpful for what feelings or ailments, and where to get them. I will spare you all the puns about lighting up user growth or seeing the apps reach new highs. Bud to put it bluntly, I do know that where there's smoke, there's fire and so I checked in on cannabis delivery app, Eaze. It has a very similar trajectory. In states where Eaze is available, it is very common for users to look up information on an app like Leafly and then place an order via Eaze.
