Epic Games is acquiring Bandcamp, an online record store and music community. Bandcamp mobile apps have been installed 11.5 million times over their lifetime.
TIER has acquired Spin, a scooter rental company, from Ford. The Spin app has been installed 10.5 million times over its lifetime.

Vrbo has long been thought of as the ugly duckling little brother to Airbnb. By who? Mainly just me. But who asks if you're staying in a Vrbo when they could ask if you're staying in an Airbnb? As short-term rentals continue to be all the rage, Expedia owned Vrbo has finally started to take advantage. Over the past six months, sessions per MAU (engagement) have increased 43% in the United States, more than any other OTA (online travel agency) over that time period. Sessions per MAU is simply looking at the average number of times that active users are opening the app per month. Stay tuned for more on Vrbo in our travel report coming out next week.

I haven't seen any Dutch Bros. establishments near me (Boston) but like the fabled ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman, I'm told they do exist! Dutch Bros has been around for awhile but it did not launch a mobile app until January 2021. Very quickly, by both measure of downloads and monthly active users, Dutch Bros. (NYSE: BROS) became the third largest coffee chain mobile app in the United States. The app is very similar to other coffee chain apps in that it enables mobile ordering, mobile payments, and is a rewards hub.
