Living for live events

From a mobile perspective, there is plenty of competition in the live event ticketing space, but none of it seems to impact Ticketmaster's share. Even with AXS tickets growing its share of usage by almost 10 points since 2019, Ticketmaster also grew its share by 7.6 points. Instead, it was StubHub who was impacted, dropping share by 11 points. In the U.S., user sessions of these mobile apps grew 62% YoY in the fourth quarter of last year to almost 1.3 billion, the most the industry has ever seen.

Hitting the snews button

New installs for top news apps like CNN, NPR, Fox News, and The New York Times have fallen to their lowest levels in years. Is it fatigue? Are people getting their news from other sources like social media or newsletters? It's not that people are switching to news aggregator apps like Flipboard or SmartNews. Those apps aren't at severe lows but they are nowhere near their all-time highs of 2020 and aren't growing.
