Get ready for the crypto bros

Matt Damon probably saw this coming

Will the latest potential banking crisis cause cryptocurrencies to actually be used as disposable dollars and not as a speculative investment? I doubt it but tweeting out a chart like this is fun to get the hodlers all excited. Comparing March 9 with March 15, we see Crypto apps have risen 21.5%. The chart shows from March 1 though for greater perspective. Traditional banks bounced back a little on Wednesday while digital first banks ticked up only slightly.

Not many people discovering Discovery

At $5-$7/month, it doesn't hurt to keep Discovery+ around, but Warner Bros. might not be able to grow that revenue if download numbers continue to fall each month, as they have since launch in January 2021. Originally Warner Bros. wanted to merge Discovery+ into the HBO Max app to aid the app's retention between big releases from HBO Max that have the power to attract new users. Last month the company announced it would continue to keep the apps separate out of fears that the single app would cost too much and drive away "Discovery+ only subscribers."
